RULES AND REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO SPECIAL EVENTS AT Half Moon Bay State Beach:

1. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. It is likely that parking may not be available in the parking lot on busy weekends. The normal day use fee ($6/car; $100/large bus (50 or more occupants); $50/small bus (10 – 49 occupants) is paid at the entrance station. All vehicles must park in designated parking spaces.

2. The park opens at 8:00 am. Set-up may begin when the park opens. The park closes at sunset. The area must be cleaned and vacated no later than sunset.

3. The maximum number attending the event is limited to 50 at Roosevelt.

4. No amplified music (including live bands or DJ’s) or microphones allowed. Small radios and non-amplified live music are allowed as long as the sound does not extend beyond the reserved area.

5. Decorations such as streamers and tablecloths must either be taped or tied in place. Balloons, rice or confetti, plants or flowers going to seed are not allowed. Natural resources (seaweed, logs, etc.) must not be moved or disturbed. The view of park signs must not be impeded. No nails, tacks, staples or fasteners of any kind that penetrate wood are permitted.

6. Set up of chairs, tables, etc., must not block public access to park areas. No setup is allowed among beach dunes (Dunes and Roosevelt Beaches.)

7. Dogs and horses are not allowed on the beaches of Half Moon Bay State Beach. Leashed dogs, however, are allowed in the picnic area and must be attended at all times. Owners must pick up after their pets.

8. It is not permissible to release butterflies (or any live insects), birds and other animals during a wedding ceremony or any other special event.

9. Bonfires are not permitted on the beach.

10. A copy of your Permit must be available onsite for review.

11. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH PARK RULES and REGULATIONS WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF SECURITY DEPOSIT.
