RULES AND REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO SPECIAL EVENTS AT Pigeon Point Light Station SHP:
1.Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. All special event participants' vehicles should park legally along Pigeon Point Road, leaving the small parking lot available for PPL Hostel guests.
2. The park opens at 8:00 am and closes at sunset. Setup may begin when the park opens and the area must be cleaned and vacated no later than sunset.
3. The Fog Signal Building (FSB) is managed by the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel. Generally, it is reserved for daytime events but may be available in the evening if the group is spending the night at the hostel. The hostel has a quiet time and lights out curfew from 11:00 pm until 7:30 am including the FSB. Alcohol is generally not permitted and wedding receptions are not allowed. The use of the FSB and hostel grounds may involve fees separate from those imposed by California State Parks. 4. No amplified music (including live bands or DJ's) or microphones allowed. Small radios and non-amplified live music are allowed as long as the sound does not extend beyond the reserved area.
5. The maximum number attending an event in the park is limited to a maximum of 100 people (30 along Mel's Lane.) Check with the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel for their occupancy limits.
6. People must stay on designated trails at all times and any chairs, tables or other items that are set up must not block public access to park areas.
7. Decorations such as streamers and tablecloths must either be taped or tied in place. Balloons, rice or confetti, plants or flowers going to seed are not allowed. No nails, tacks, staples or fasteners of any kind that penetrate wood are permitted.
8. Dogs are not allowed in the park.
9. It is not permissible to release butterflies (or any live insects), birds and other animals during a wedding ceremony or any other special event.
10. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH PARK RULES and REGULATIONS WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF SECURITY DEPOSIT
